Over 100+ community members came together for a day of opportunity, connection, and support. With the help of 25+ amazing vendors, we offered job placements, free resources, raffles, and prizes. Highlights included Metro providing free bus passes, DPSS offering on-the-spot Medi-Cal & CalFresh enrollment, and a community food distribution where 75 bags of groceries fed 297 individuals across Compton.
This food distribution was made possible thanks to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, with donations coordinated by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, supplied by the LA Food Bank, and delivered by Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement in partnership with Care First Community Investment.
A huge THANK YOU to JCOD (LA County Justice, Care & Opportunities Department), our partners, and volunteers for making this event possible. Together, we’re creating real pathways for growth, stability, and empowerment in Compton.
