Many of the people come from low income families in underserved communities and have been unsuccessful or pushed out of the traditional school system. YCSC provides these people with another opportunity to earn their high school diploma by taking a different approach to education.

Project Based Learning
Project based learning allows people to take ownership of their education by using what they learn in the classroom and applying it to real world problems.
Individualized Education
YCSC teachers provide people with the appropriate modifications and accommodations in order to ensure that learning is accessible to all students.
Critical Thinking Skills
YCSC teachers work towards elevating the level of thinking used by the people by providing them with the tools and skills necessary to ask questions, developing their own answers, and participate in meaningful discussions.
